Alternative Transportation Solutions

Three significantly different transportation solutions are likely to be long term alternatives. These are plug-ins, ethanol/gasoline mixtures, pure ethanol, natural gas (both fossil and biogas), and hydrogen. Clearly hydrogen is the most difficult fuel to deal with, but as we shall see, when it is made using new technology either locally at the service station of actually within a fuel cell everything we are concerned about can change.
